Position Description:
Position Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Department: Contract Manufacturing Services (CMS)
Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Position Summary:
Provide technical support to the Contract Manufacturing Services sales, production, maintenance, and quality groups. Support CMS operations by positively affecting cost, quality, and delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Mechanical/electrical support for CMS manufacturing engineering
- Organize and participate in Continuous Improvement efforts
- Design, build, and install miscellaneous tooling/work holding
- Improves shop floor work flow and improves existing processes
- Write, Review and Update Operator Instructions
- Participate on and/or lead project teams
- Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Hiring Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, two year associates degree in related fields desired
- Demonstrate skills in Word Processing, AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Able to work independently, with very good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical ability required
- Industrial electrical experience a definite plus.
Physical Demands:
- Handling and near vision - over 4 hours a day
- Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs., talking, hearing, and working alone 3-5 hours a day
- Walking and reading 2-3 hours a day
- Standing, sitting, stooping, crouching up to 4 hours a day
