Position Description:
Position Title: Product Engineer, LED Converting
Department: Sales
Reports To: VP, Sales
Position Summary:
Ensuring the success of custom built systems and standard products in the market group while achieving the product goals for growth, profitability, quality, and market share.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engineering support for LED Converting. Responsibilities include:
- System Layout and concept drawings
- New Product design and concept drawings
- Product line improvements
- Design add-ons for standard products
- Fixture design
- Evaluation of purchased components
- Cad/Cam support for sales and applications
- System quotation support
- Work and attend trade shows and technical conferences
Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field. General qualifications include:
- Strong team leadership qualities, a sense of responsibility and urgency, and a desire to succeed
- Solid Works, autoCad, and additional cad/cam programs
- Good technical background with ability to understand highly technical system products
- Presentation skills and ability to interface with customers
- Ability to build relationship, lead cross-functional teams and build consensus
- Development of product sales materials including catalog, brochure, product specification and competitive selling tools
- Customer drive, with relentless desire to understand customer applications and market
Physical Demands:
- 20% travel
