Contract Converting - Die Cutting
Complementing the laser converting offering, Preco’s Contract Manufacturing Services also provides a complete range of die cutting solutions. Precision flat bed die cutting with vision registration capabilities for both sheet and roll processing is available along with multiple station rotary die cutting for high productivity, lamination and rotary die cutting.
Contract Converting - Lasers
Preco’s contract manufacturing services include laser processing of polymer, paper and fiber based materials that can be processed in either sheet or roll fed formats. These systems incorporate vision registration capabilities for unmatched precision for demanding applications. Laser converting is an ideal process solution for applications where materials or features are required that prove difficult to die cut. While Preco provides contract converting services to a broad range of customers and markets, the primary focus is on medical diagnostic devices, advanced Lab-on-a-Chip cards, polymer based displays, printed electronic components, optical film and abrasives processing. Clean room processing is also available.
Preco’s Medical and Precision Converting division offers laser and die cutting contract manufacturing services to the diagnostic, medical device, and consumer markets. Preco will assist you in your manufacturing process for microfluidic components, catheter components, consumables, medical instruments and diagnostic devices.
Preco offers a complete range of flexible packaging laser enhancements including micro-perforations, easy-opening features and microwave venting. Preco’s flexible packaging services include process development and toll converting to support your market introduction and long term production requirements. In addition to a complete range of production roll handling systems, Preco also provides quality test equipment to provide stringent quality assurance protocols through your production run. Preco is certified to ISO9001 and ISO13485 quality management standards.
Specializing in laser cladding, welding, heat treating and specialty cutting, Preco excels at difficult process specific applications. With an in-house staff that includes welding engineers along with doctorate level guidance, Preco’s capabilities are unsurpassed. Our range of equipment includes fiber lasers up to 10kW and CO2 lasers up to 6kW which provide deep penetration welding and heat treating. Supporting this equipment are work stations and material handling that can support fabrications and castings weighing upwards of 10,000 pounds.
Preco offers both autogenous and wire feed welding. Additional hybrid weld processes are offered including induction pre-heat and/or post-heat stations for crack prone materials. Preco also provides secondary operations including hydraulic presses for pre-weld component assembly, grit blast booths and stress relieving ovens.
LASER HEAT TREATING
An advantage that lasers offer in this process is the ability to heat treat localized areas without affecting the entire work piece. Preco's applications engineering team has extensive knowledge with laser heat treating and can assist you in deciding if laser heat treating is a good fit for your application.
Our powder feed systems include off-axis and coaxial powder flow technology to support our cladding offering. Laser cladding can be performed on flat or cylindrical surfaces with a powder metal selection to provide wear and corrosion prevention or other specified requirements.
SPECIALTY LASER CUTTING
Although we're not configured to process flat sheet stock for the fabrication market, we offer laser cutting for unique applications that have specific process requirements.
