Preco’s New Packaging Facility

Preco, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of our clean converting facility at its Somerset, Wisconsin location for contract manufacturing services customers.  The primary markets targeted to initially take full advantage of the new facility are converters involved in processing flexible packaging film for the food and medical industries.  We have designed and installed five laser work centers to meet the growing customer demand for contract manufacturing services.  In addition, warehousing space has increased more than 500%, and new quality and sanitation procedures have been implemented based on the FDA’s new Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulatory requirements.

The investment of more than $300,000 in building upgrades have been made to accommodate the rapid growth and diminishing floor space of our other facilities.  The new 14,000 square foot renovation was a ground up initiative:  new epoxy flooring, LED lighting, a dedicated shipping and receiving bay with pallet wrappers and weight scales, and all new storage and material handling racks.

Preco’s Somerset location continues to uphold its ISO 9001 Certification and is prepared for an October 2017 audit by FDA inspectors to maintain our Interstate Milk Shippers Certification.  This heightened cleaning and sanitation certification puts Preco ahead of the curve on requirements that are expected of suppliers in the coming months and years.

Preco encourages all of our existing and new customers to visit our new clean converting facility.
